Killing Ground Premier

Melbourne International Film Festival - Killing Ground

The Cast, Producers and Director of Killing Ground

On the 4th of August was the World Wide Premiere of "Killing Ground" a film in which I star in along side; Harriet Dyer, Aaron Glennane, Aaron Pedersen, Ian Meadows, Maya Stange, Julian Garner and Stephen Hunter.

I personally had the privilege to have seen the movie already in a Cast and Crew Screening at the Randwick Ritz a month before, so it was a lot easier to sit back and really take in the beautiful yet twisted storyline and world of "Killing Ground". Though this time it would be in front of an audience and also film critics! So as you would assume we were all very nervous yet excited for the premier to start.

I arrived at Melbourne Central at 8pm for pre drinks with cast, crew and family/friends.
I'm so blessed to have been surrounded by such lovely friends and family. In which two friends (pictured left) whom I met over in LA earlier this year had came along to support me (Miss Glaw flew from the Gold Coast)
At 9:30pm we all started to make our way into in cinema and then our seats. I had a reserved seat up the front with the other cast members. Damien Powers (director & writer) spoke a few words before the movie would start, thanking sponsors, the producers (Lisa Shaunessy and Joe Weatherstone) and everyone who was a part of the film.

The cinema lights started to descend into darkness which only meant the film was starting, a few claps and whoo's came out from audience members and it was nice to hear as it meant that they were excited for the film. A sharp "KILLING GROUND" appeared on the screen and so it began 88 minutes of terror, twisted storylines, horror all juxtaposed against the beautiful Australian outback nature which "Killing Ground" is set in.
Once the final credits rolled myself and the cast were asked to stand up and head to the front for a Q&A with the director. We were asked questions such as; how did you find it dealing with such emotional scenes and how we personally break from such intense emotions and scenes.
Overall it was such an amazing night to be surrounded by friends, family and people who ended up loving the film. We received such great feedback, reviews and ratings.

My face is clearly as terrified as my character is in the movie
